2017 - The First Quarter
Well, I came home from Berlin, sang my little heart out at Fringe World Festival, danced all over the place, MC'd my first show with Dirty Jazz Vintage Cabaret, won the Music and Musicals Award with So Fresh: The Fairly Average Dance Party, did my second ever original gig, performed with my musical heroes Ali Bodycoat and Libby Hammer for the Ellington Jazz Club's 8th Birthday Party and THEN I MOVED TO BROOME, BECAUSE WHY THE HELL NOT!
So, now I'm writing in my (almost distressingly) spacious house in Broome, where the current temperature is 33 degrees and thinking about what happens next. I'm still living in a pile of boxes (that's normal at this point, right?), daydreaming about the future to avoid unpacking. I've updated my gig list, made myself a salad and colour coded my books, it's been a very good day so far. Here's a picture of our reading nook!
Who knows what the next few months will bring, but I'm back down in Perth a whole bunch (as evidenced by the gig list), which should satisfy my wandering urges for now. Here's to new adventures! I'll leave you with this pictorial representation of life in Broome so far.
